Working hard all their lives and saving for retirement, they were approaching what they thought were the best years of their life. ![Emma](https://info.centuryss.com/hubfs/Sept%202021%20Client%20Newsletter%20Images/clientspotlight-emma-hero.jpg) One day they received a letter from the IRS saying they owed back taxes. Emma was astonished, ***“How can that be”***, she exclaimed ***“We have always filed our taxes on time and paid in full”.*** After a bit of digging in, they found that their tax preparer made an error and they were on the hook for over $30,000. The IRS started garnishing their wages, which was over $600 a month. Along with prescription co-pays, health insurance and other bills, they soon became reliant on credit cards. ![Emma with daughter](https://info.centuryss.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Sept%202021%20Client%20Newsletter%20Images/clientspotlight-emma-img1.jpg?width=250&name=clientspotlight-emma-img1.jpg) That’s when Emma and her husband turned to Century for help. ***“Working with Century Support has done a great deal to calm our fears about on starting this process.”*** Emma stated when explaining why she chose Century. ***“Anytime I call or email them, I get the answers I need.”*** ![Emma and husband](https://info.centuryss.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Sept%202021%20Client%20Newsletter%20Images/clientspotlight-emma.jpg?width=250&name=clientspotlight-emma.jpg)Nearly a year into enrolling in Century’s debt settlement program, Emma and her husband have resolved almost half of their debt and by increasing their monthly deposits, are on track to settling the rest of their debt before their estimated 48-month program length. ***"I cannot thank them (Century) enough for how they take the stress out of what is an extremely delicate and stressful matter!”*** Emma exclaimed.   **Congratulations on your program success, Emma!** We thank you for trusting us to be a part of your journey toward better financial health and celebrate your diligence in staying with the program to make such great progress! *\*We protect the privacy of our clients by changing their names and omitting any identifying details.* Topics: [Motivate Your Mind](https://info.centuryss.com/motivate-mind/topic/motivate-your-mind)   ![AFCC-Accredited-transparent.png](https://info.centuryss.com/hs-fs/hubfs/AFCC-Accredited-transparent.png?width=110&name=AFCC-Accredited-transparent.png "AFCC-Accredited-transparent.png") ![bbb-a-rating](https://info.centuryss.com/hs-fs/hubfs/bbb-a-rating.png?width=150&name=bbb-a-rating.png)   [![Questions? Contact Us](https://no-cache.hubspot.com/cta/default/2129284/5750ee16-6004-4e83-9895-76ba63b23de0.png)](https://cta-redirect.hubspot.com/cta/redirect/2129284/5750ee16-6004-4e83-9895-76ba63b23de0)      2000 Commerce Loop, Suite 2111,  North Huntingdon, PA 15642   [Terms of Service and Website Access](https://www.centuryss.com/terms-of-service/) | [Privacy Policy](https://www.centuryss.com/privacy-policy/) | [GLBA Privacy Notice](https://www.centuryss.com/centurys-glba-privacy-notice/) | [KY Privacy Policy](https://www.centuryss.com/century-ky-privacy-policy/) | [AFCC Disclosure ](https://www.centuryss.com/afcc-disclosure-statement/) | C.P.D.
